youre overused and pointless when a thought 

you thought you could connect

with enjambement was really 

something new something 

worthy of 

publishing 

how cliche 

of you when the rest of us

are thinking and writing and feeling

the same thing

i hate that hate is used so much it stops meaning hate

and starts meaning i am human and i think

in the same language as you. 

but yet we can’t see to connect 

our two brains full of wasted stanzas

already written time and time again.

history repeats itself 

in the same 26 letters that always manage to add the word 

hate in between textbooks mandatorily assigned

how cliche

in every story 

we always learn the same ending 

its only when we get older that we learn in depth how many

ways someone can torture hate into another
