In philosophy we talked about the different types of love

Love:

I don’t know what that is but I do know

I’ve memorized the way you smile

When you mean it and your face creases up and

You’re so beautiful maybe it’s lust

Lust:

I don’t know what that is but I’ve stained your hands

to my hands, drawing images

Of you because how they haunt my mind and

Am I just idealizing you just like philia?

Philia:

I don’t know what that is but I’ve tattooed

The sound of your laugh to my ears so I

Can play it whenever we’re apart like

This is amor which I’ve heard

Is unconditional

Amor:

I’m not sure if that needs to be reciprocated and

Maybe I’m just intoxicated and

I’ll get better If I stop taking shots

Of dopamine each time I’m next to you

-drunk on you but I’m terrified of the hangover
